Towards the end of last year we began to coppice the Paddock. This is the area near post 12 that's by the stream as it leaves the woods and enters Vilner Lane. A few years ago staff and pupils from the Sheiling School did a lot of work in this area and it was now time to do some more as the hazel trees they had dealt with had regrown and needed to be coppiced again.
Five of our volunteers began to clear the ground, I'm behind the camera,
and made a lot of progress.
